Workshop on ‘Transition to Alternative to Single Use Plastics Waste Management’ held

Mysore/Mysuru: A two-day workshop on ‘Transition to Alternative to Single Use Plastics Waste Management (SUP)  & Rules 2021 (Amendment) in MSME Units’ organised by Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET-CSTS) and supported by Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) & MSME Development Institute, was held in city recently.

The programme was inaugurated by G.R. Ganeshan, Environmental Officer, KSPCB and Vijay Kumar, President, Karnataka State Plastics Association (KSPA).

In all, 35 participants from plastics and allied industries from all over Karnataka attended the workshop. The eminent persons and Scientists deliberated  on alternative to single use plastics, implementing plastics waste management rule 2021 (Amendment) and compostable biopolymers & organic recycling.
