Mysuru:  Cauvery Neeravari Nigam (CNN) Ltd.,  University of Mysore (UoM)and National Service Scheme (NSS) had jointly organised a workshop titled ‘Awareness on water conservation’ for NSS Programme Officers and Engineers at Vignan Bhavan in Manasagangothri here yesterday.

Inaugurating the programme by pouring water to an earthen pot, CNN Managing Director B. Shivashankar pointed out that awareness on water conservation was becoming increasingly essential day by day.

He observed that drought situation was quite frequent in the recent past and advised people to realise the gravity of the situation and conserve water limiting the usage to bare minimum.

Mysore University College Development Council Director Srikantaswamy presided. CNN Chief Administrative Officer D. Ravikumar delivered the keynote address.

Water Diviner and Resource Person U.N. Ravikumar, Hemavathi Zone Chief Engineer H. Shivakumar, Convenor Dr. B. Chandrashekar and others were present at the workshop on water conservation.
