World Heritage Week contests in city from Nov. 19 to 25

Mysuru: The Department of Archaeology, Museums and Heritage in association with Mysore School of Architecture will be organising various competitions and exhibition as part of World Heritage Week celebrations from Nov. 19 to 25 at Karnataka Exhibition Authority (KEA) premises in city.

Competitions based on the topics like Natural Heritage, Heritage Memorials and Heritage Art will be organised.

The registration and competitions for PU students will be held on Nov. 22 while the registration and competition for students from Std.8 to Std. 10 will be held on Nov. 23.

Drawing competition will be held from 9.45 am to 11 am, sketching competition from 11.30 am to 12.30 pm, first round of quiz contest (written in both Kannada and English languages) from 10.30 am to 11.30 am and last round of oral quiz from 12.15 pm to 1.30 pm.

Those who wish to take part in photography competition can submit their photographs online till 11.59 pm on Nov. 22 to [email protected]. Students must submit the details such as the title, mobile/camera photo, date of photo shot, shooting mode, shutter speed, aperture value, focal length, ISO speed and flash mode. The size of the photo should be of 10 MB minimum and 150 dpi or higher resolution in JPEG format.

The prize for the winners in various competitions will be distributed during the valedictory to be held on Nov. 25 at Department of Archaeology, Museums and Heritage (Dasara Exhibition premises) at 10.30 am.
