Bengaluru: The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), Bengaluru Circle, will celebrate World Heritage Week from Nov. 19 to 25 with a slew of programmes during the period. The events are as follows:
There will be a photo ex-hibition on world heritage monuments, sites and heritage of Karnataka at Dariya Daulat Bagh in Srirangapatna from tomorrow. The photo exhibition will remain open to the public till Nov. 25 from 10 am to 5 pm.
On Nov. 20, there will be a lecture on excavations at Gottiporulu by T. Srilakshmi, Superintendent Archaeologist, ASI Excavation branch, at the conference hall of the ASI Office in Bengaluru from 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm.
On Nov. 21, G.L. Bhat will deliver a lecture on Hoysala temples and architecture from 3.30 pm onwards at the ASI Office in Bengaluru. There are three lectures at the same venue on Nov. 22.
On Nov. 23, there will be drawing and quiz competition which will be held at the Kendriya Vidyalaya, ASC Centre, Bengaluru from 8 am to 11.30 am.
On Nov. 24, Meera Iyer of INTACH, Bengaluru, will conduct a heritage walk and talk on Discovering Bengaluru. It will commence from 8 am at Tipu Sultan’s Palace in Bengaluru.
