World Para Athletics Grand Prix Dubai 2018: City’s para athlete Ramya wins gold in discus

City’s para athlete N.S. Ramya, representing India and taking part in the World Para Athletics Grand Prix 10th Faza International Athletics Championship at Dubai 2018, won the gold in the discus throw event on Mar.13.

The 24-year-old Ramya threw the discus to a distance of 31.47m to win the gold. Turkey’s Tirikli Busra Nur (21.53m) won the silver while Somayeh Ataei of Iran (23.70m) won the bronze.

Ramya is coached and trained under well-known athlete Mohan Kumar in Chamundi Vihar Stadium, Mysuru.
