Mysuru: Marking World Photography Day, Mysuru District Photographers and Videographers Association had organised a function at Ganabharathi in Kuvempunagar here recently.
Inaugurating the programme, Wildlife Photographer S. Thippeswamy advised the photographers to make best use of modern technology in photography to hone their skills.
Recalling his entry into photography way back in 1960, Thippeswamy said that photography was not that improved then and added that present photographers have good access to technology. He contended that 95% of wildlife photographers in the country are from Karnataka which is laudable.
A workshop on photography was also held on the occasion with Sony company trainer C. Satish Sony briefing the gathering on skill and video cameras of the company.
Association President M.S. Manjunath, Vice-President S. Manjunath, Secretary G.T. Ramesh Kumar and Jt. Secretary P. Chandrashekar were present.
