World Rabies Day: PFA conducts free vaccination camp

Mysuru:  People For Animals (PFA), Mysuru, had  organised a free vaccination camp for street dogs on Sept.28 on the occasion of World Rabies Day. Around 87 dogs were vaccinated with anti-rabies vaccine and multi-component vaccine. 

The dogs which were vaccinated included both the street dogs as well as the guardian dogs. The vaccination drive started at 9 am and concluded at 2.30 pm. The areas covered were BM Srinagar, Ambedkarnagar, Metagalli and Lokanayaknagar. The staff included three dog-catchers along with PFA Vet Dr. Amardeep Singh. 

Along with the vaccination programme, awareness was made to general public to get their pets vaccinated on time so that diseases like rabies, canine distemper can be prevented.

Managing Trustee Savitha Nagabhushan and Dr. D.L. Madhavi extended their contribution in conducting the free vaccination camp.
