Mysuru: People where in for shock when they visited the godown belonging to Karnataka State Warehousing Corporation at Bannimantap in city on Monday as they found worms in 745 quintal of wheat stored for mid-day meal and Public Distribution System (PDS) in two different godowns.

A group of BJP workers headed by District BJP President Kote M. Shivanna inspected the godown on tip-off and found worms in the wheat released by the State Government for distribution under the PDS.

When questioned, the warehouse manager said that the higher officials had not yet issued orders for its distribution to  various taluks.
