WPL finals tonight RCB to take on DC

February 5, 2026

Mysuru: Best of the friends Jemimah Rodrigues and Smriti Mandhana will lock horns in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) finals to be held at Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) Stadium at Vadodara this evening.

The Delhi Capitals team led by Jemimah Rodrigues will eye to break finals jinx after having lost three consecutive finals previously. Earlier, Delhi Capitals led by Meg Lanning had lost in the finals of 2023, 2024 and 2025 editions. With the Jemimah taking over the baton from Lanning, Delhi Capitals have entered the finals for fourth consecutive time.

Road to finale was not easy for the Delhi Capitals as they had to take a longer route coming through the Eliminator during which they outclassed Gujarat Giants led by Ashleigh Gardner. Having lost the previous finals, will Jemimah be able to break the finals jinx tonight?

Meanwhile, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), which won the second edition of tournament, will depend on its Captain Smriti Mandhana and Grace Harris to get off to a flying start. The team qualified for the finals as table toppers winning six out of their eight matches in the league stage.

RCB, after a week-long break, will be entering the ground with an aim to win back the lost glory after failing to qualify in the previous edition as defending champions. Lauren Bell and Nadine De Klerk hold the key with the ball for RCB as both have given good starts in the league stage. Having picked up 11 wickets in the tournament so far Bengaluru-girl Shreyanka Patil will lead spin department.
