Wrestling Competitions 2017: Qureshi, Shivani excel

Tauqkeer Usla Qureshi of Andalus School won gold in the +66kg category in the High School Boys section, while Shivani of USP School won gold in the up to 59kg category in the High School Girls section, in the Wrestling Competitions-2017 for High School Boys & Girls conducted by Mysore University Sportspersons Alumini Association at the University Gymnasium Hall here on Tuesday.

Results: Boys: upto 32kg: 1. K. Manoj, 2. Syed Isad (Citizen Convent), 3. Rakesh Naik (Police Public School) & Abhishek (GHS, Kyathamaranahalli).

Upto 35kg: 1. R. Shreyas (Marimallappa HS), 2. Mohammed Zubair (Citizen Convent), 3. Syed Khizer (Citizen school) & M.C. Manohar (SPV School).

Upto 38kg: 1. M.P. Shashank (Gopalaswamy HS), 2. Md. Saif (Citizen School), 3. Md.Zaid (Police Public School) & Mahadev (GHS, Kyathamaranahalli).

Upto 42kg: 1. C. Chandru (Maharaja School), 2. Sharook Pasha (Citizen School), 3. Darshan (Dalvoy HS), 4. Rakshith (Maharaja’s HS).

Upto 47kg: 1. S. Sudharshan (Sadvidya HS), 2. Chikkaiah (Dalvoy HS), 3. Shivakumar (Dalvoy HS) & K. Tejas Gowda (Hardwicke School).

Upto 53kg: 1.Sheik Usman (Andalus School), 2. S. Yashwanth (MGHS), 3. V. Vikyath (Sadvidya HS) & Noor Ahmed (Andalus School).

Upto 59kg: 1. Fazil Md (Andalus school), 2. Raghu (Dalvoy HS), 3. Md. Omar (St. Joseph’s school).

Upto 66kg: 1. Deekshith (BSS), 2. Varun Rai (Police Public School), 3. Alemulla Sherif (Citizen Convent).

+66kg: 1. Tauqkeer Usla Qureshi (Andalus School), 2. Zainullah Qureshi, 3. J.E. Darshan (Police Public School).

Girls: Under 47kg: 1. Ananya (Police Public School), 2. Preksha (PPS), 3. Anusha (Ganapathi Sachidananda School).
