Wrestling: PGSC bags Team Championship

Inspiring performances from wrestlers of Post Graduate Sports Council (PGSC), Manasagangothri, helped them to clinch the Team Championship title with 22 points in the Wrestling Championships conducted by the Department of Physical Education (DPE), University of Mysore (UoM), at the University Gymnasium Hall here recently. In the women’s section, AVK, Hassan, won the Team Championship title with 25 points.

Shashiraj (PGSC), 86kg: Vinay Kumar (PGSC), 92kg: S. Sanjay (AISH), 97kg +: Md. Asif (JSS FGC, Nanjangud); Team Championship: PGSC, Manasagangothri, Mysuru – 22 points.

Women — 50kg: M.M. Shruthi (AVK Hassan), 53kg: D.S. Ranjitha (GFGC, Halgur), 55kg: H.B. Chaitra (GFGC, Bharathinagar), 57kg: Sowjanya (GCW, Mandya), 59kg: G.S. Mamatha (GFGC, Halgur), 62kg: Bhoomika (GCW, Mandya), 65kg: Vijayalakshmi (PES, Mandya), 68kg: K.N. Madhura (AVK Hassan), 72kg: S.R. Nagarathna (GCW, Mandya), 76kg: Bhavya (AVK Hassan); Team Championship: AVK Hassan-25 points.
