Mysuru: The Catholic Association of Mysore is organising the 14th Diocesan-level Carol Singing Competition on Dec.2 at St. Philomena’s High School from 8.30 am.
Addressing a press conference at the Pathrakarthara Bhavan here recently, Association President Alexander Vincent said that there will be five categories in the competition for high school and college students, Parishes, Religious Institutions and professionals. The competition will be held in Kannada, English and other regional languages.
In the evening at 5, children who have secured 90 per cent and above in the 2017-18 SSLC exam will be feted. The last date to submit the registration forms is Nov.25, he said.
Bishop of Mysuru Rt. Rev. Dr. K.A. William will inaugurate the programme. MLC Ivan D’Souza will be the chief guest.
At the valedictory function, Rev. Fr. N.T. Joseph, Parish Priest, St. Joseph’s Cathedral, Rev. Fr. Dr. M. Vincent, former Principal of St. Philomena’s PU College, Shanthu Nesan, former Corporator, Anil Christy, Registrar (Births and Deaths), Mysuru City Corporation and builder Johnny G. Kunnel will be the chief guests, he said.
