Y. Ravindranath Hegde (Chanta), a resident of Vijayanagar 2nd Stage, passed away yesterday. He was 84.

An ex-employee of ITC, who later started Malnad Leaf and devoted his later years to agriculture, he leaves behind his wife Vasanthi Hegde, son Kiran, daughters Rashmi and Ramya, sons-in-law, grand-children and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites will be performed at 9.30 am tomorrow (Jan. 30) at Chirashanthidhama in Gokulam.
