Mysuru: Highlighting the importance and relevance of education, skills and protecting environment and nature, the scion of the Mysore Royal family, Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, stressed that each one of us should introspect and explore what we could give back to the environment for its sustenance.
He was speaking as the chief guest at the celebration of the ‘World Youth Skills Day’ organised by Learners PU College in association with the All India Corporate Council for Skill Development (AICCSD), here recently and said “We should leave behind a healthy future for the coming generation as our ancestors have left us.”
Founder Director of Learners PU College Murali Mohan in his welcome address recalled the contribution of Wadiyar dynasty to the cause of education, cleanliness, as well as systematic and planned development of city.
AICCSD Chairman Nishant Kumar Gautam said that today the country has more than 50 per cent of the population below 25 and this youth, if given a proper direction can take the country to great heights with the unmatched skills and will they possess.
BEML Senior Manager Sudhakar and Learners PU College Principal Madhavi Lata were present on the occasion.
This event was organised to create awareness on the importance of youth and skill development, inculcate basic math and science skills, and give students the educational tools they need to discover and pursue a skill.
An exhibition showcasing the various science models and mind maps of math concepts made by the students was organised at the venue.
Several skill competitions in different skills were held bringing out the innate talents and skill of the students, said a press release from the College Founder Director Murali Mohan.
