Mysuru: Nrityagiri is celebrating 30 glorious years of dedicated service to classical dance, music and cultural education. To mark this milestone, a comprehensive year-long series of cultural, artistic and educational programmes have been scheduled from September 2026 to September 2027.

Nrityagiri @30, the inaugural programme will be held tomorrow (Sept. 3) from 6 pm to 7.30 pm at Nrityagiri Auditorium, #16/1, Preethi Layout, Srirampura, Mysuru. On the occasion, Dr. Pradeep Kumar Hebri will be delivering a special lecture on the topic ‘Acharya Shankara: Tattva Chintana – Sattva Sinchana – Bhashya Manthana (Reflections on His Philosophy, Essence of His Teachings, and Churning of His Commentaries).

Monthly felicitation

As part of the 30th anniversary milestone year, Nrityagiri has partnered with Pratibhe Vedike, Mysuru, for a dedicated monthly series to recognise and felicitate one promising young talent (Pratibha) in the field of performing arts each month.

For the inaugural month, flautist M.K. Navaneeth will be felicitated. Son of veteran flautist A.P. Krishna Prasad and grandson of the late flute maestro A.V. Prakash, Navaneeth was initiated into flute training at the young age of four under his father. Presently he is receiving advanced training in Karnatak music under J.B. Sruthi Sagar and Hindustani classical under Pt. Pravin Godkhindi, according to Dr. Kripa Phadke, Director, Nrityagiri.
