The registration date for Yeshasvini Health Scheme, the flagship programme of the State Government to provide health cover for lakhs of Co-operative Societies’ members and farmers has been extended till March 31, with the intention of expanding the membership of its popular health scheme.
Under Yeshasvini Scheme, every family of the registered Co-operative Societies members will be given health cover up to Rs. 5 lakh at Government approved network of hospitals without making any cash payment. For the health cover of a maximum of four family members, rural Cooperative Societies and Self Help Group (SHG) members need to pay Rs..500 per annum and Rs.100 more for every additional member whereas a member of urban Co-operative Society needs to pay Rs.1,000 for four members of his family and Rs.200 for every additional family member. For Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe members, the Government itself will pay their annual membership fees.
