Yeshasvini Scheme: Plea to extend registration deadline to May 31

April 6, 2026

With the Government deadline for Yeshasvini Health Scheme registration having ended on Mar. 31, city Congress leader Mohammed Ayub, a former member of Aradhana Samiti, has appealed Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to extend the deadline to May 31.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister, Mohammed Ayub said that there were many public holidays in March, which  saw two major festivals such as Ugadi and Ramzan, public exams in the month of March and as such, many people could not visit co-operative societies for getting registered for Yeshasvini Health Scheme.

Hence, the Government should extend the Yeshasvini Health Scheme registration to May 31, so that more people get covered under the scheme to avail health care, the letter said.
