Mysuru: As part of Dasara-2017, Yoga Dasara, organised by the Yoga Dasara Sub-Committee was launched at the Oval Grounds here yesterday evening.

The event was inaugurated by lighting the lamp with the Yoga Torch by the dignitaries, which was brought to the venue by Yoga enthusiasts in a procession and received by MCC Commissioner G. Jagadeesha.

Later, Yoga students of JSS Institutions displayed various asanas followed by a solo display of Yoga postures by Golden Book of Records winner Kushi.

During the inauguration, more than 2000 Yoga students of Ganabharathi, Mathrumandali, Durgapameshwari of Ittigegud, Shankar Mutt in Agrahara and Krishnadhama including 20 foreigners took part.

SP Ravi D. Channannavar, actress Mayuri, Yoga Dasara Sub-Committee President Siddappa, Vice-President Suresh Babu, Sushil Sundaraj, K. Ramya, Tayur Madesh, Basavaraju and others were present.
