Yoga Sambhrama: 75 asanas displayed at Palace

Mysore/Mysuru: As part of the ongoing Dasara festival, the Yoga Dasara Sub-Committee had organised ‘Yoga Sambhrama’, a mega Yogathon at the Palace premises this morning.

 Suttur Mutt Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji inaugurated the mega event. Hundreds of yoga enthusiasts performed 75 different asanas.

Speaking on the occasion, the Swamiji said that Yoga is not only limited for certain age group. “Yoga is an essential practice which should be a part of everyone’s life. It not only keeps a person physically fit but also improves mental health. Practicing yoga develops discipline in one’s lifestyle,” he said and lauded the Dasara Yoga Sub-Committee for organising the programme.

MLA S.A. Ramdas presided. District Minister  S.T. Somashekar was the chief guest.
