Yogacharya Dr. A.R. Seetharam passes away

Mysore/Mysuru: Yogacharya Dr. A.R. Seetharam (77), former Principal and Professor of Education at Ramakrishna Institute of Moral and Spiritual Education (RIMSE), Mysuru and Sharada College of Education, Ulundurpet (TN), passed away  yesterday in city.

A resident of CFTRI Layout in Bogadi, Mysuru, he leaves behind his wife Dr. Geetha Seetharam, sons Deepak Ram and Darshan Ram, daughters-in-law, three grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

He had also served as President of Manasarowar Pushkarini Vidyashrama, Mysuru, resource person for NCERT, New Delhi and Visiting Professor at Mangalore University. An expert in Value Education, Dr. Seetharam was a recipient of several awards and recognition and his contributions to Personality Development and Spirituality was immense.

The mortal remains, kept in the mortuary, will be directly taken to the crematorium at the foot of Chamundi Hill, Mysuru, for last rites at 10 am tomorrow (Aug. 1), according to family sources.
