Mysore/Mysuru: The District Kannada Sahitya Parishat and Himalaya Prathishtana jointly felicitated senior yogacharya Dr. P.N. Ganesh Kumar, who recently celebrated his 60th birthday, at Sahitya Parishat Bhavan at Vijayanagar, in city.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. K. Krishnamurthy and Samshodana Prathishtana Director Dr. K. Leela Prakash said Ganesh Kumar had contributed to the field of yoga by introducing it to many youngsters apart from creating awareness on Indian culture and tradition.

“Every person completing 60 years would desire to live a peaceful life. Both, Dr. Ganesh Kumar and his wife Dr. V. Shashirekha, have been living peacefully accomplishing their goals. While Ganesh Kumar has contributed to yoga, Shashirekha has contributed to the field Ayurveda by serving as RMO in Government Ayurveda College and Hospital.

Yogacharya S.V. Venkateshiah, Kannada Sahitya Parishat District President Maddikere Gopal, Mysore Yoga Association President Yogaprakash, Mysore Yoga Federation President T. Jalendrakumar, Dr. K. Raghuram Vajpayee, Vidya and Prathistana Vice-President N. Ananth were present.
