Young innovative minds display mini projects

Students are seen explaining about their project to one of the guests during the Inter-Collegiate ‘Mini Project Expo-2019’ organised by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, GSSSIETW, Mysuru, at the College premises.

Mysuru:  The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, GSSSIETW, Mysuru, had organised an Inter-Collegiate ‘Mini Project Expo-2019’ at the College premises in Metagalli here recently. The function was inaugurated by Prof. M.J. Sampath Kumar, Chairman, Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers, Mysuru Centre.

Emphasising the importance of engineers to society, Sampath Kumar urged students to utilise the opportunity provided to enhance their presentation skills. He also explained about concept, analysis, design and application of the projects for the society.

Dr. M. Shivakumar, Principal, GSSSIETW, spoke about the importance of implementing innovative ideas which addressed the needs of the society and added that events like these helped in building confidence among the students to develop their technical and presentation skills. 

Dr. Rajendra R. Patil, Professor and Head, Dept. of ECE, briefed about Mini Project Expo-2019 event. A total of 272 students from various engineering colleges across the State such as BIET Davanagere, CMR University, Bengaluru, MSRIT Bengaluru, KLEIT Hubballi, SGBIT Belgavi, MYCEM Mysuru, MRIT Mysuru, VVIET Mysuru, MIT Mysuru, SIT Tumakuru, SIET Tumakuru and others participated in the event and demonstrated various innovative projects prepared by them to guests and visitors.
