Young voter promotes planting of saplings for first-time voters

April 28, 2024

Mysore/Mysuru: Srujan Dinesh, a young voter in Mysuru, has cultivated a unique habit of planting a sapling so as to remember taking part in the festival of democracy.

Srujan, who cast his vote for the first time during the Assembly polls held last year and had planted a Campa (Sampige) sapling at his house, has now planted another sapling after voting for the Lok Sabha elections on Apr. 26.

Srujan has urged the young voters, who have voted for the first time, to commemorate the same by planting a sapling. He said it was important for everyone to take part in the voting process to build a strong nation.
