Youth arrested for shouting slogans in favour of Pakistan

Bharatinagar: K.M. Doddi Police, following complaint, have arrested a 22-year-old youth for shouting slogans in favour of Pakistan.

The arrested youth is Sadiq Kolla Islam, a native of Assam, who is working at a saw mill along with 20 others and it is learnt that Sadiq was heard shouting ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ four days ago.

On Feb.23, Sadiq again was heard shouting slogans in favour of Pakistan and one Karadakere Nagesh and his friends, who saw Sadiq shouting the slogans, informed the matter to Raghu Venkategowda, President of Asare Seva Trust, who along with his friends, went to the spot and told him to tell ‘Bharat Maata Ki Jai.’ Sadiq, who said the same, again shouted ‘Pakistan Zindabad,’ which angered Raghu and his friends, who caught hold of Sadiq and beat him.

They later lodged a complaint with K.M. Doddi Police, following which Sub-Inspector Ayyanagowda arrested the accused and produced him before a Court.
