Mysuru: Yelwal Police have arrested an youth on charges of kidnapping and raping a minor girl. The arrested has been identified as Dinesh (22) of Hosa Kamanakoppal in Yelwal hobli. Dinesh was accused of kidnapping a 17-year-old of his village and raping her, after promising to marry her.

Following a complaint by the girl’s parents, Yelwal Police booked Dinesh under POCSO Act and arrested him. As the girl went missing from the village, the girl’s parents had lodged a missing complaint. But as the girl and Dinesh returned to village on Saturday, the girl’s parents lodged another complaint accusing Dinesh of kidnapping and raping their daughter.
