Nanjangud: An 18-year-old youth, who got angry after his parents refused to buy him new clothes, committed suicide by hanging self at his house in Ashokapuram in the town on Sunday.

The deceased youth is M. Chethan. On Saturday, his parents had gone to another place and on Sunday, Chethan called his father Mahadevaiah and asked him to buy him new clothes to which his father reportedly asked him to come to the place he was so that he could buy him clothes.

But Chethan ended his life by hanging self on Sunday night, Police said.

Nanjangud Town Sub-Inspector Prakash Maddur visited the spot, conducted mahazar, registered a case and shifted the body to the Government Hospital.

After the post-mortem, the body was handed over to the family members.
