Mysuru: The Alanahalli Police have arrested a youth on charges of raping a minor girl.

The arrested has been identified as Santosh Kumar, 21, of Hosahundi in the taluk.

Santosh Kumar was accused of luring the minor girl from her home on June 29 and raping her. Following a missing complaint lodged by the girl’s parents, the Police, who investigated the case, arrested Santosh Kumar at Nanjangud, it is learnt.

Juvenile held for raping minor girl: The N.R. Police have arrested a juvenile on charges of raping a minor girl at Kurimandi in the city. Following a complaint received through Child Helpline, the N.R. Police, who swung into action, rescued the minor girl from a home at Kurimandi, in which the accused allegedly stayed with the girl, after reportedly ‘marrying’ her, it is learnt.

The juvenile was produced before Juvenile Justice Board, which remanded him to a rehabilitation centre.
