Youth injured in accident succumbs at hospital

Kushalnagar: A 22-year-old youth, who was seriously injured in a bike accident on Hassan Highway near Kodumangaluru on Tuesday and admitted to Apollo BGS Hospital in Mysuru, has succumbed to injuries at the hospital on Wednesday.

The deceased youth is Prajwal, son of Suresh, a resident of Mallenahalli village in Kudige Gram Panchayat limits.

Following the accident, Prajwal, who had sustained serious head injuries, was rushed to Kushalnagar Health Centre, where he was provided first-aid and was shifted to Apollo BGS Hospital in Mysuru, where he died on Wednesday.

Following the death of Prajwal, his father Suresh, donated his (Prajwal) organs to the hospital.

After the organs were harvested at the hospital, the mortal remains were brought to Kudige village, where tributes were paid.

The body of Prajwal was received by Kushalnagar Congress leader V.P. Shashidhar, local Gram Panchayat members, auto drivers and hundreds of youths by showering flower petals.
