Youth killed in road mishap

In a tragic road mishap, a 21-year-old motorcyclist was killed on the spot when the bike he was riding was knocked down by a cement mixer lorry from behind in front of   ‘Renault’ showroom near Hinkal on Mysuru-Hunsur Road yesterday morning.

The deceased has been identified as P. Rakshith, son of Papegowda of Hosakote in Yelwal Hobli of the taluk. Rakshith, who worked for a civil contractor, was on his way to work on  Hero Honda Passion motorcycle, when a cement mixer lorry coming from behind fatally knocked him at about 7.30 am, it is learnt.

V.V. Puram Traffic Police Inspector Vivekananda and other Policemen visited the spot and conducted mahazar.
