Mysuru: A 55-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death by his brother’s son over distribution of mangoes at Vaderahosahalli in Bilikere hobli yesterday afternoon.
While the deceased is Mallesh, the accused is the son of Mallesh’s brother. A case was registered at Bilikere Police Station and the Cops have taken the accused youth into custody, who had gone absconding.
There was a mutual understanding between Mallesh and his brothers about distribution of mangoes. Yesterday afternoon, when Mallesh was harvesting mangoes, his brother’s son objected to it during which wordy duel ensued between them.
Soon, the quarrel went out of control and the youth stabbed Mallesh, resulting in Mallesh bleeding profusely. Mallesh was immediately rushed to a hospital in Bilikere by his family members and villagers, where the doctors examined him and declared him dead.
Later, the body was shifted to MMC&RI mortuary in Mysuru for post-mortem, which was performed this morning and the body was handed over to the family members, Police said.
