Youths assaulted in separate incidents

Mysuru: In separate incidents, two youths were assaulted by a group on Nov. 16 for petty reasons in city.

In the first incident, Santosh Kumar was assaulted by a group during the Bethaleshwari Devi Jatra Mahothsav at Nadanahalli, coming under Alanahalli Police limits on Nov. 16.

Santosh was allegedly assaulted by Prasad, Harish, Shiva, Chethan and Sathya of the same village. A case has been registered at Alanahalli Police Station in this regard.

In the second incident, a youth was assaulted by two persons on Nov.16.

The youth, who was assaulted, has been identified as Niranjan, a resident of Nadanahalli here.

Niranjan was walking near Raghavendra Wine Stores, when he was allegedly assaulted for petty reasons by Seena and Umesh using beer bottles besides abusing him using foul language. A case has been registered at Alanahalli Police Station in this regard.
