Yuva Brigade cleans area around Triveni Sangama in T. Narasipur

T. Narasipur:  Members of Yuva Brigade undertook the cleaning of the ‘Sopana Katte’ behind Sri Agastheswara Swamy Temple and in front of Vyasaraja Mutt at Triveni Sangama here recently.

About 50 members from Mysuru, Nanjangud and T. Narasipur commenced the cleaning operations at 6.30 am and removed the plastic waste and cloth pieces thrown in the river. They later cleared the mud on the ‘Sopana Katte’ and washed it thoroughly.

Speaking on the occasion, Yuva Brigade Taluk Convener R. Ramanujam said that the Brigade was on a mission to clean River Cauvery right from its origin in Kodagu and down the stream.

Mysuru Wing Convener Chandrashekar opined that River Cauvery was invaluable and advised people not to throw trash to the river. He appealed the citizens to cooperate in the river-cleaning mission. Yuva
