Singer Vijay Prakash to perform during grand finale tomorrow
Mysuru: Yuva Sambhrama continued to attract the audience even on the eighth day with youth thronging the Kuvempu Open-Air Theatre in Manasagangothri to witness the dance performance of college students. Yesterday was reserved for only students from women colleges to showcase their talent in front of the jam-packed audience. Guests for the event were also women achievers from various walks of life.
The mythological dance ballet depicting Lord Vishnu’s Narasimha Avatar by students of the Mandya’s Government College for Women (PG), featuring songs and dialogues of the Kannada movie ‘Bhakta Prahlada’ starring Dr. Rajkumar and Puneeth Rajkumar, received thunderous applause.
The students paid tributes to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar through their performance. Culture and tradition of Kannada language was also highlighted with students dancing to some of the Kannada songs. The evening also saw various art forms like Bharatanatayam, folk dances – veeraghase & kamsale – among others captivating the crowd.

Karnataka State Commission for Women Chairperson Dr. Nagalakshmi Choudhary, who was the guest for the day, called upon girl students to ensure they focused on their education and do not get distracted.
She also called upon students to register their complaints on www.stopncii.org in case of being blackmailed by any person to upload private photos and videos on social media.

Later, she also danced along with students, officials and organising Committee members.
There will be no events at the Open-Air Theatre this evening. However, grand finale of the Yuva Sambharama-2026 will be held tomorrow (Oct. 7) evening with singer Vijay Prakash’s concert along with 50 new singers from across the State.
