Mysuru: As a prelude to Dasara celebrations, Yuva Sambhrama, a cultural programme by college students, will be held from Sept. 28 to Oct. 5 at the Open Air Theatre in Manasagangothri.

This was disclosed during a preliminary meeting of Yuva Sambhrama Sub-Committee with the principals of various colleges at the Centenary Hall of Maharaja’s college in city yesterday.

The principals have urged the authorities to increase the honorarium and other allowances paid to college teams, hygienic food, pure drinking water, sanitation facilities and adequate vehicle parking slots for the participants.

They also wanted the NSS and other volunteers to ensure discipline on stage, ensure no repetition of themes, importance to choreographers and selection of teams based on best topics.

Yuva Sambhrama Sub-Committee Special Officer R. Aishwarya, University of Mysore In-charge Registrar Prof. S.J. Manjunath, Education Department Regional Director S. Pratima, DDPUE C. Nagamma, Student Welfare Officer T. Ramachandra, Sub-Committee Working President Pratibha and others were attended.
