Mysore/Mysuru: Sri Thyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha Charitable Trust, Mysuru, will be presenting an online classical music vocal concert by Vidu. Medha Manjunath as part of its Yuva Sangeetha Sambhrama – 2020 series, on its YouTube at 5 pm on Saturday (Dec. 19).
Medha Manjunath had the privilege of learning classical music from senior musician and guru, Vidu. Dr. Sukanya Prabhakar. Presently she works as a faculty at Subramaniam Academy of Performing Arts, Bengaluru and continuing her training under violin maestro Vid. Dr. L. Subramaniam, besides pursuing M.A. in Music.
A recipient of scholarships from CCRT, Karnataka Sangeetha Nritya Academy and D. Subbaramayya Trust, Bengaluru, she has received ‘Kalashree’ title from Karnataka Balabhavan. She was topper for Mysuru centre in pre and post-Vidwath music exams conducted by KSEE Board. She was conferred with D. Subbaramaiah Trust’s ‘Sangeetha Kousthubha’ title.
The promising young music talents of Mysuru, Vid. Kesahav Mohankumar, Vid. Pavan Madhav Masur and Vid. Shrinidhi R. Koundinya will provide support on violin, mridanga and ghata respectively to the concert.
