Yuvaraja’s College students protest for laptops

January 21, 2018

Mysuru: The students of Yuvaraja’s College staged a protest in front of Crawford Hall here recently, demanding laptops from the State Government, under its scheme.

Even though the State Government had already given laptops to a few students under its Vidya Siri scheme, the University of Mysore had not implemented it till now, alleged the students.

The University is delaying the facilities to the students studying in Government Colleges.

The Vice-Chancellor should immediately intervene and see that the laptops are distributed to the students through the College Principal, they urged and submitted a memorandum in this regard to the Vice-Chancellor and Yuvaraja’s  College Principal.

As they were poor students studying science, they could not afford to buy laptops and computers and this has interfered in their studies, they said, sharing their problems.
