Zilla Panchayat Member to reserve Rs. 5 lakh for poor students

Bylakuppe: An amount of Rs. 5 lakh will be reserved for education of poor students, said Zilla Panchayat Member V. Rajendra. He was speaking after distributing free note books to students at Government High School in Doddakamarahalli recently.

After distributing around 30,000 books to 150 students, Rajendra said that he would award Rs. 10,000 to each student scoring 90 percent and above marks in SSLC and added efforts will also be made to ensure senior citizens get all the benefits.

Rajendra called upon poor students to utilise facilities extended by the Govt. and come out in flying colours. HM Mallesh, Assistant Teachers Sannaswamy, Leelavathi, Kruthika, Murthy, Nandini and students were present.
