Naada Nritya – Nurturing today’s artistes, tomorrow’s maestros

May 7, 2024

An evening, organised by Nrityagiri – Performing Arts and Research Centre, Musuru, on May 5 perfectly blended with the budding artistes of Satya Sai Seva Sangha, Hyderabad, Pravalika, Jotsna, Revathi, Triveni, Deepika, under the able guidance of Vidu. Pooja Sugam and the ambitious and promising artiste Vid. R. Pavan Kumar, disciple of Guru Vid. Kannan, showcasing their artistry in Bharatanatyam dance form.

The budding artistes began their performance with a promising note through traditional invocatory piece Pushpanjali, followed by a kriti, Ganeshapancharatna, keertanam, Bhajan, Kavadiattam and Thillana to conclude, leaving the rasikas awestruck.

Their hardwork spoke through their intricate pleatings between the notes and jathis without disturbing the abhinaya and interchanging of placements where dancers gracefully shift positions on stage, exchanging roles and expressions as they tell stories through their movements.

The next performer, a very well-known Bharatanatyam artiste, teacher by himself, Vid. Pavan Kumar made an effort to successfully taking the audience to the level of ecstasy through his matured, reflective pieces like Varnam, where it not only showcased the stamina but also the understanding of both subjective and objective parts.

He gave a par excellence performance, giving justice to choreography, rhythms and melody.

Satya Sai Seva Sangha Secretary Aruna Pradeep, who was present among the audience, was felicitated by Nrityagiri Director Guru Dr. Kripa Phadke on the occasion.
