100 more Police Stations to come up in State

March 9, 2022

Bengaluru: Home Minister Araga Jnanendra said that the Government has decided to set up 100 more Police Stations in the State.

Replying to a question by Congress member B.K. Sangamesh in the State Assembly here on Tuesday, Jnanendra said that administrative approval has already been given for establishment of 100 more Police Stations and to renovate Station buildings which are dilapidated.

Pointing out that Bhadravathi taluk in Shivamogga district has a total of 6 Police Stations, he said that there are plans to set up one more there. Noting that there is space crunch for the setting up of a new Police Station in Bhadravathi, he said that the station can come up if the MLA identifies land and that the construction will commence once land is allotted.
