March 9, 2022

Mysore/Mysuru: A two-wheeler rider was killed in an accident on Nanjangud Road yesterday. The deceased has been identified as P. Nagaraj, son of late Puttashetty and a resident of Kodasoge village in Gundlupet. He was working in city.

Yesterday evening, Nagaraj was returning to Mysuru from his native place on his bike (KA-10-EB-6797) and when he neared K.N. Pura, he rammed into a tempo (KA-08-4077) from behind. It is learnt that the tempo driver had applied brakes all of a sudden as a vehicle came in front of it suddenly. As the bike rider was too close to the tempo, he was unable to control the bike and rammed into it from behind.

Though Nagaraj was rushed to K.R. Hospital, the doctors declared him brought dead and the body was shifted to MMC&RI mortuary. Mysuru South Rural Police have registered a case. After post-mortem this morning, body was handed over to family.
