12,863 UoM staff, students yet to receive first dose

Mysore/Mysuru: University of Mysore (UoM) authorities have informed the District Administration that as many as 12,863 students, teaching and non-teaching staff of all Degree Colleges are yet to receive the first dose of vaccination.

So far, six vaccination drives have been held in which 2,868 have been vaccinated. On June 21, a special drive was held at Senate Bhavan in which 1,472 students received vaccination. Every day, vaccination is done at Health Centre in Maharaja’s College campus. The students, teaching and non-teaching staff members must take the vaccine without fail, said Prof. R. Shivappa, Registrar, UoM. 

Those who wish to take vaccine may contact Prof. R. Siddaraju, Department of Economics and Co-operation, who is also the Nodal Officer for vaccination and Satish Bhat, Department of Statistics.
