Over 18,000 candidates appear for KPSC preliminary exam in city

Mysuru: The written preliminary exam for recruitment to Group A and B posts, conducted by Karnataka Public Services Commission (KPSC), was held today at 78 centres across the city.

A total of 30,896 candidates had registered for the exam at the city centres, out of which 18,165 appeared for the morning session paper held between 10 am and 12 noon. The afternoon session paper was held from 2 pm to 4 pm. The exam centres included Maharaja, Maharani, Vidya Vikas, Vidyavardhaka, SDM and other major educational institutions.

All the candidates appearing for the exam were asked to carry their Aadhaar card along with the admission ticket.

ADC Yogesh, KPSC Mysuru Regional Office Secretary Lakshmi Devi and other top officials went around some of the Centres.

Tight Police security was provided around all the centres to ensure smooth conduct of the exam.
