N. Prabhakar (78), retired Executive Engineer and a resident of Roopanagar, Bogadi, passed away this morning due to prolonged illness. He leaves behind his wife J. Padma and three sons — P. Nagaraj, P. Mahaveer and P. Abhinay. Last rites will be performed tomorrow (July 6) at 10.30 am.

M.D. Girigowda (95), a senior leader of Maduvinakodi in the taluk, passed away yesterday in the village. He leaves behind four daughters including former Taluk Panchayat Member M.G. Rathnamma Gangadhar, one son and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were performed at the village yesterday.

Srinivas (53), a Head Constable attached to Hunsur Police Station, collapsed while on duty and breathed his last at a private hospital in Mysuru. A native of Pandavapura in Mandya, Srinivas leaves behind his wife, a son, a daughter and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were performed at Pandavapura.

Ravi Guddappa (38), Priest of Sri Manteswamy Temple on Chamaraja Double Road, passed away on Saturday in city. He leaves behind his wife, one daughter and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were held yesterday morning. Ravi Guddappa had played the role of Mysuru Maharaja in Rajanikanth starrer Tamil movie ‘Linga.’

M.N. Mohan (55), Assistant Registrar of Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) and a resident of Srirampura, passed away this morning at his residence following brief illness. He leaves behind his wife Triveni, son Suyog and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were performed at Jayanagar Burial Grounds this afternoon.
