25,000$ ITF Women’s Tennis: Dhruthi, Kanika duo lose in quarter-finals

Mysuru girl Dhruthi T. Venugopal teaming up with Kanika Vaidya and taking part in the women’s doubles event in the 25,000$ ITF women’s tennis tournament in Gwalior on Wednesday lost in the quarter-finals.

In the quarter-finals, Cenigiz Berfu (Tur) & Rosalie Van Der Hock (Ned) combined well to outsmart Dhruthi and Kanika Vaidya 7-5, 6-7(7), 10-6 and entered the last four stage in the women’s doubles event.

Earlier in the first round, Dhruthi Venugopal teaming up with Kanika Vaidya beat USA’s Monica Robinson & Zoe Gwen Scandalis 6-3, 6-4 and sailed into the quarter-finals of the event on Tuesday.
