Sriram Sarja with 6 points from seven rounds clinched the title in the 26th BRDCA State Open Rapid Chess Tourney held at Bengaluru on Feb.18.

Ojas Kulkarni (5.5-26), H.G. Santhosh Kashyap (5.5-24.5), M.G. Gahan (5.5-24), Sameer Ghotane (5.5-22.5) and Sushrutha Reddy (95.5-22.5) tied with 5.5 points and secured the places from second to sixth respectively on the basis of their progressive tie-break scores.

Mysuru’s H.R. Manasa secured 4.5 points and finished 13th in the final rankings.
