274th birth anniversary of Hazarath Tipu Sultan Shaheed on Nov. 10

Mysore/Mysuru: The 274th birth anniversary celebration of Hazarath Tipu Sultan Shaheed, organised by city’s Hazarath Tipu Sultan Shaheed Welfare and Urus Committee in Lashkar Mohalla, will be held on Nov. 10 at Meelad Park on Ashoka Road in city.

The event will be held under the Chairmanship of Sir Khazi of Mysuru Hazarath Moulana Mohammed Usman Shariff and under the Presidentship of MLA Tanveer Sait. The celebration will commence at 11 am with recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by Fatha Khawni and Darud Salam. Later, a delegation of devotees will proceed to Tipu Tomb (Gumbaz) at Ganjam in Srirangapatna, where they will spread flower mat (chadar sheriff), pay tribute to the shrines of Tipu Sultan and his parents. Later, Fatha Khawni will be performed and Tabruk will be distributed.

Prior to the celebration, breakfast (Tabruk) has been arranged at Allah Malik House on Ashoka Road, 19th Cross in Lashkar Mohalla at 7 am.

MLA K. Harishgowda, JD(S) leader Dr. Mehboob Khan, Hon. Chairman of Hazarath Tipu Sultan Welfare and Urus Committee M.S. Mukram, DCC Member Majeed Ahmed, Corporator Rafeeq Ahmed, ex-Corporator Naseeruddin Babu, DCC Minority Department Spokesperson Mirza Jamsheed Baig Ashrafi, Congress leader Syed Rahamathulla and prominent persons will be the chief guests.
