Mysuru: City’s upcoming singer Shabbir has been invited by Mohammed Rafi’s daughter to perform at the 27th death anniversary of the legendary singer Rafi in Mumbai on July 28.

It may be recalled Rafi’s daughter Nasreen Ahamad and son-in-law Meraj Ahamad, who were the guests of honour at the “Adaab Rafi-2” musical programme in city on Apr. 2 were impressed by Shabbir’s performance and had promised to launch him in Mumbai, according to a press release from V.N. Prasad, who led the Rafi musical event in city.
