Mysuru: As part of the 11th International Day of Yoga (IDY) celebrations, Karnataka Yoga Teachers Federation will be organising the 2nd State-level Yoga Sammelana at Kalamandira in city on June 22, said Federation Working President Dr. S.P. Yoganna.
Addressing a press persons at Pathrakarthara Bhavan recently, he said that Kotemane Prof. Ramachandra V. Bhat, Chairman, Veda Vijnana Gurukulam, Bengaluru, was selected as President of the Sammelana.
Prof. Ramachandra V. Bhat will be brought in a grand procession accompanied by various folk teams from Old DC’s Office till Kalamandira. Following this, flag hoisting will be done.
The event will also feature the release of the book ‘Siddhi-Prasiddhi,’ special lectures by yoga experts, yoga darshini, presentation of Yoga Ratnakara Awards and distribution of participation certificates to the representatives of all 31 districts.
Yoga, which has gained popularity globally, has been helpful in increasing immunity and solving many health issues, said Dr. Yoganna.
Federation Hon. President and District AYUSH Officer C. Renukadevi, Chief Convenor N. Ananth, Vice-President C. Rameshetty, Executive K.G. Devaraj, B.P. Murthy, B. Shantharam, Yoga Kumar and others were present during the press meet.
