3 commit suicide in separate incidents

Three persons have committed suicide in separate cases yesterday. In the first case, a 30-year-old Civil Engineer, who was in deep debt, committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at his residence in Srirampura. The deceased has been identified as Naveen of Srirampura 2nd Stage. Kuvempunagar Police have registered a case.

In the second incident, a lorry driver ended his life by hanging to the lorry ladder near Kadakola in Nanjangud. The deceased has been identified as Mahadevaswamy (25) of Sargur taluk in Nanjangud taluk. Police said Mahadevaswamy was dejected in life which led to his suicide. Mysuru South Rural Police have registered a case.

In yet another case, a 12-year-old boy committed suicide by hanging self at his residence. Metagalli Police, who are investigating into the case, said that the boy, who had allegedly stolen Rs. 100 from one of his classmates a couple of days back, was caught yesterday. The school authorities had brought the matter to the notice of his parents. The boy, unable to bear the humiliation, committed suicide yesterday evening at around 7.30 pm when no one was in the house.
