Mysuru:  Thirty people including a two-year-old child reportedly took ill after allegedly eating curd rice served as prasada after immersion of Ganesha idol at Mallarajanahundi in Nanjangud taluk last evening.

Most of the villagers who ate the prasada complained of nausea and vomiting. Thirty of them based on the severity of symptoms of food poisoning were shifted in an ambulance by the villagers to K.R. Hospital.

Nanjangud Tahsildar Daya-nand and ASP Sneha visited the hospital and enquired about the health of the people under treatment.

Doctors at K.R. Hospital told SOM that all the people were out of danger and will be discharged in batches by this evening.
